Well, it's been a while since I did anything towards achieving my 'dream room', so today I set about painting a dresser duck-egg blue. The dresser will be used to house my growing sewing..Oh that rhymed...notion collection. Duck-egg blue is such a pretty colour and it will compliment the pink scheme I have in
mind...

I still need to do the base and the glass doors. Normally I use a full-satinwood paint that takes ages to dry, but I've changed the paint I use to one with very low VOCs. It's called Home of Colour by Homebase and I find it very good. It's dry within 2 hours and hardly smells, and what's also really great is that you can wash your brushes under the tap!

Hello I found your blog via Claire at Thriftwood your Duck egg dresser had drawn me in and its beautiful. I too have an obsession with duck egg. Tracy your new follower. x
Love the colour of your dresser, I have a very old golden pine one, but will keep it that colour as I have never had any pine at all in my entire life! Love your blog. Julie xxx
Oh, thank you girls! My dresser is 32 years old..I bought it the year I got married - so it's not antique yet! It was an orange pine 80s dresser, in the days when everyone had orange pine dressers! I'm going to be painting the bottom half this week, but it needs some TLC first..thanks...glad you're all there..:) xxx
Welcome, Tracy and Julie! xx
